My name is Leona and I’m a newly married first time mom. I have an enormous passion for food, creative arts and family. I’ve been a makeup artist for over 10 years and I love the creative outlet and expression it has given me. Like most people during these unfortunate moments, I had some free time and I decided to make the best of it. And that’s why I started this blog.
I wanted an outlet for all my thoughts and notions about food, creativity, such as DIY and things that make my heart warm. Similar to doing a makeover, I find cooking and baking give me that same feeling of gratification. Whether you’re making a bowl of pasta or baking a cake, every ingredient you put in compliments the other and when it all comes together, you’re left with a delicious end result! And I think that is nothing short of art.
I’ve had a lifelong passion for food and all things artistic. I love to create recipes that are both delicious and beautiful. I get an embarrassing amount of satisfaction when capturing a photo of a meal that is aesthetically pleasing. Yes, I’m that person at a restaurant that takes 3-5 pics of their food before anyone takes a bite…maybe more.
I most enjoy cooking with seasonal and simple ingredients. Here, you’ll find my favorite recipes and some dishes that are inspired by my Albanian background and some that are inspired by my husbands Hispanic background.
